Who is the photog behind Rut Photos? Jenna Rutschman is! Learn about my (Jenna’s) photog story below…
I was given my first manual camera when I was 15 and I haven’t really put a camera down since. I would skip Chemistry Class in the 11th grade (sorry Mr. Abraham) to sneak off to the dark room (yeah Mrs. Brown) and develop my beloved black and white images. The first subjects of my photography are still my favorite, people. I would and (do still) torment my friends and family following them around with my camera taking their portraits and posing them.
As High School ended I found myself heading to University of Arizona in amazing Tucson, Arizona 2386 miles from my High School darkroom in Ithaca, New York. I found myself living in a state that has so much sunshine I had to learn exposure all over again. Photography was my minor in college my major was media arts and laughter. I made amazing friends, learned photography (back when it was film) technique all while following around my new West Coast friends with my camera. 
After graduating from U of A and doing some Coast-to-Coast traveling I moved to Phoenix, Arizona. My life is shared with my charming and loving husband, Cody and our precocious yellow lab Max (not Marley but close). When I am not behind the camera I throughly enjoy by career as an account manager and strategist at Terralever an all digital agency located in Tempe, AZ.
As a photographer you will find me to be calm, easygoing, creative and passionate. We can shoot images in the comfort of your own home or venture out into the beautiful Phoenix metropolis or to the picturesque Arizona desert. When I’m dreaming up photo sessions or holding one of my cameras in my hand I still find myself loving the same subjects and wanting to capture the phases of their lives; success, graduations, love, marriage, engagement, children, dogs, family, cats, laughter and warmth.
I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully working with you in the near future. I have a lot of fun doing this and I think you’ll find it a bit infectious. I also know that my husband and doggie will welcome a break from having their photos taken for a while when we are working together, even if it is just for a short time!
